I loved Riptide by Amber Lea Easton. I've read several of her shorter stories, this was the first full-length novel of hers that I've read and let me tell you, it was great.

Lauren Biltmore is a wounded soul and she heads to Grand Cayman looking to find rest and recuperation after surviving a harrowing near-death experience. In spite of her brother's concerns, she strikes up a relationship with the handsome and haunted Noah Reynolds. Before long, both their pasts come calling.

The action is exciting, the plot unpredictable, and the sex is hot. This is a perfect summer read. I enthusiastically recommend Riptide.

Riptide by Amber Lea Easton is an extraordinary book that will keep you involved until the very end. The book catches you right from the start and doesn't let go. I found the characters and the story line to be very realistic and believable. I felt as if the author had actually lived this adventure and thru her writing I was living it as well.

Lauren's character is a very strong female who knows her own life better than any of those around her and she sets out to prove to them she can take care of herself. She is able to dig deep for that inner strength when it is necessary for her own good as well as when needed to aid others.

Just when you think you know what is about to happen and "who did it" the author adds another twist to the story. Amber Lea Easton really out did herself of this book and I am already awaiting another good read from this author.
Good book!
It starts out slow but picks up momentum. My book club is reading it, and it seems as if everyone is struggling to get through it.
I loved the book, it was the first i read by Amber and Loved it, Look forward to reading more.
It was just okay. The reviews made it seem like it would be amazing though so I'm a bit disappointed.
How can you not love a romance that takes place in the Caribbean - Grand Cayman to be exact. Having been to Grand Cayman, even though it was so long ago, reading this novel brought back memories of the sandy beaches, blue water, and the smell of salt in the air; all of which makes me want to be there this very moment as it's absolutely beautiful. Anyways, back to the novel. "Riptide" is a well-written, fast-paced story with elements of romance, suspense, and mystery with a few twists and turns thrown in. I loved both Noah and Lauren, definite chemistry between the two. Even though they both have something in their lives they're trying to deal with, they don't let it get in their way of having fun together. Even as their feelings grew for each other, they were able to overcome the obstacle or secret that they just discovered which I thought was amazing for the author to do. There was no chasing, or miscommunication that would break them up, get back together, break them up again, get back together again. Both Noah and Lauren discussed the problem and dealt with it like adults. Talk about refreshing. I wish more authors would take this route. I also loved how the author only touched upon what past incident both Noah and Lauren went thru instead of going back in the past and rehashing the whole ordeal. This is an engaging and intriguing novel, at times even keeping you on the edge of your seat; with a few surprises along the way. Definitely worth your while.
I am an avid reader, and I have a few favorite authors including Barbara Delinsky, Nora Roberts, and Debbie Macomber. Now I can add Amber Lea Easton to that list! Having grown up in the midwest, I like the suttle hints Ms. Easton uses that remind me of the people back home. Riptide has lots of twists and turns that are unexpected and fills you with a growing anticipation that leaves you unable to put the book down! Ms. Easton writes with such descriptive detail that it makes you feel like you are watching the scenes instead of reading them. Her characters have such endearing qualities that I found myself cheering them on! I always love "feel good" books that make me smile as I finish and leave me sorry the story is over! Riptide is definitely one of those books!
