The development of the new storyline and the continuation of previous ones is a work of pure genius. As you read this novel you will feel as though you are submerged into the life of the Evil Dead MC. Skylar and Shades story of young love lost and then found again is beautifully written, with unforeseen twist and turns that leaves the reader wanting more.

Like is not easy as a prospect to the Evil Dead MC, but is what Shades has always wanted! That is until he met Skylar. He knew that he should keep her at arm’s length, but something about her will not let him. When he is given an ultimatum, Skylar or the club, he was not prepared for her to just disappear. After ten years of emptiness seeing her again, just reinforces the fact that she is his and his alone! Is it possible for them to turn time back, and reclaim what was lost? Finally I hit a five star read for me after a book slump. I almost want to just go ahead and start reading this book again right now. Yes, to me, it was that good. A believable story of young love gone wrong, coming back together and resurrecting that love into something stronger. I loved the characters in this book and again Ms. James had me LOL with the funny one liners these guys could come up with. The H was strong, loyal and when he did grovel he did it in a rational way that made my heart melt. I can understand the h's emotional struggles considering being abandoned at 3 years old and dumped into the system. But she rose above it and came out strong. Her one weakness, running when things got bad, did grate on me just a little. But then I realized the story would not have been as good as it was if she hadn't tried bolting a couple of times. That's when Shades dug in, wouldn't let her run and showed how much he loved and supported her. Now I want A story for Ghost and Blood. Definitely no cheating and a HEA.
I have read several of the Evil Dead MC Series. Although, my favorite characters come from another chapter (Outlaw, Crash, Wolf and Red Dog). The humor in the Evil Dead MC stories is funny! Shades was a gentleman who did not take well to his woman Skylar being disrespected...Now that just caused for a good old butt whipping from Shades. Sandman bless his heart was clueless, but sweet. Blood was too aggressive and liked taking what he wanted. Undertaker was a quiet man, who seemed to be still mourning Skylar's mother for many years. Skylar seemed to have gotten not one but two HEA's. And lastly, Ghost...He was a gentleman to the end. I can't wait to read his story. Kudos to the author. Well done!!!👏👏👏
Wow, what a great story! I think each book gets better! This book focuses on Shade, who is a member of the Evil Dead MC Birmingham chapter. Initially I couldn't figure out why the author would focus on a secondary character from another EDMC chapter, rather than stick with characters from the chapter in the first few books (they're in California), but clearly the author knows what she's doing because this book was fantastic. I loved Shades and Skylar.

I loved the fact that Skylar was strong, independent and could and did take care of herself. I loved the way Shade refused to give up on their relationship and how honest he was with her. They had steamy love scenes but what I really LOVED about this book was the romance. So many romance novels focus on the sex, often at the expense of the plot. The good news about these books is that authors realize that women like erotica too (aka 'soft porn'), which is quite liberating. But to have explicit sex scenes without the romantic storyline gets boring really quickly. I can't speak for all women and maybe I feel this way because I'm older than the 'typical' romance genre reader but I NEED A PLAUSIBLE PLOT & this series delivers that in spades!

I don't want to give anything away but this book has everything you need in a good romance novel sexy, handsome, but flawed hero, strong, independent heroine, hero and heroine who are vulnerable but not ridiculous in their fear of being vulnerable (some characters are so relationship phobic, you want to strangle them or tell the other partner 'forget them; they're not worth all the anguish), steamy love scenes, some mystery, elements of surprise and of course, the long sought after HEA.

What makes this book, really the series, stand out is an awesome set of secondary characters. I actually want there to be future books about these characters. The author has a good balance between letting you know just enough about the characters so you are hungry for more, but not allowing the subplots about the secondary characters to overwhelm or distract from the main characters.

After reading Crash, I wanted to know more about Wolf, Green and Mack. After reading this book, I want to know more about Ghost, who was TOO HILARIOUS, Blood (now that would be a simmering book!) and Undertaker.

I can't wait to read the next book about Wolf. My only concern, which will probably sound crazy is to tell the author that while I can't wait to devour all the upcoming books in this series, don't write them too quickly. I'm sure there is a lot of pressure from fans, agents, publicists, etc. to churn out these book quickly, but authors often do that at the expense of quality. Trust me, your books are worth the wait. I'd rather wait for a great book than read a quickly thrown together book.
