I loved this book. We were introduced to him in a earlier book, Trisha's book. Paul is her father. As I have said before, you fall in love with SE Smith's primary characters and the secondary ones. In this book, Paul is taken to the planet where his daughter was kidnapped and is the story of how he finds his love of his life. Dealing with his loves son's, interfering, danger to his love. This author sucks you into her worlds. You absolutely fall in love with the primary characters and the secondary characters. Each book you wait desperately for your favorite character. Her worlds become real to you. Each person burrows their way into your heart. I joined every newsletter and Facebook page she had because I didn't want to miss a single book. Fabulous author. You won't regret buying her books. She is absolutely my favorite author out there.

Yay! Raffvin is finally captured in Paul (Trisha's Dad) & Morian's (Zoran's, Trelon's, Kelan's, Mandra's & Creon's mother) story. Morian's 1st mate wasn't her true mate but she had loved him anyway; Paul's 1st wife, Evelyn has been dead for awhile now & he was very young & loved her too. When Paul & Morian 1st met it was over a video chat & both of them realized that they each had found what they had been missing in each other. For Morian, she had finally found her true mate in Paul but once he landed on the planet she avoided him for 2 weeks before they finally mated with each other. Raffvin before he was captured had to of course be troublesome to the family & threaten not only Morian's life but that of Zohar her grandson as he wanted her to take him to where the symboits are housed in the hive because he thought that finding the hive would make him all powerful. Though this is the end of the stories about the royal family in Valdier it isn't the end of the series. This story contains the good vs bad element, lots of sex scenes, some fight scenes & hot sexy Aliens.

Occasionally I become bored with a series if it gets too long but not so with this one! The time span for books 1-6 [those are the ones I've finished reading so far] is approximately one year. Each Dragon Lord book is about one of the brothers or sub characters and how they found their true mate. The Dragonling Books are about the Dragon shifter's children. Each book is about the events that lead up to the discovery of their mates as well as what their mates think these alien dragon shifters can do with the whole "I claim you so you are mine" bit.

The plot is based on events happening during a war. I felt that Smith keeps each story distinctive even though it's for the same time period with the same family. I also like the fact that there are a lot of mini conflicts and struggles throughout the stories. Smith weaves sub-characters in that are interesting and worthy of their own stories

"Paul's Pursuit" is about Trisha (Book 3, Tracking Trisha) Grove's father Paul Grove and Queen Mother Morian Reykill.
Paul Grove was a rancher, scout, and wilderness survival trainer to Navy Seals and Marines. He was married to Evelyn Grove, (deceased). Morian Reykill is the Queen Mother of Princes Zoran, Mandra, Kelan, Trelon, and Creon. She is also Priestess to the Hive (where the symbiots are from). Paul had experienced heartache when the love of his life died when Trisha was a young child. Although he loved Eve he still had a void in his heart, an emptiness and loneliness of losing his first love and mother to his baby girl Trisha. That void seemed filled when he met Morian.

When Trisha disappeared Paul searched everywhere for her and wondered what the unusual clues such as an odd shaped disk and objects that where burned from an extremely high heat yet nothing next to them was burned. He was determined to find her and he refused to believe she was dead. After several months, Trisha returned for her daddy and introduced him to a whole new world.

Morian also felt the same loneliness and void after her beloved husband and father of her five boys died. She was reluctant to let her feelings grow as she was older now and had responsibilities and obligations. One of which included administering justice to any of their people and for any harm done to symbiots or to the Hive. But she felt she should just be content with her growing family and not delve deeper with how she felt about Paul.

Morian and Paul are both strong mature individuals and it was so nice to read about these two 'older' characters finding love. Paul respected Morian and earned the trust and respect from not only Morian but from the Valdier Princes as well.

There's an interesting premise behind the dragon people and their symbiots, intriguing storyline, strong character development, and hot sex scenes! If you like all that then you will definitely like this book.
I have enjoyed each and every story. Abbey/Zoran, Cara/Trelon, Trisha/Kelan, Ariel/Mandra, Carmen/Creon and the much awaited story of Morian and Paul.

Paul is definitely an Alpha male, even Kelan senses this man is not one to mess with and from a male that can shift into a dragon thats saying something. Morian has taken lessons from her daughter-in-laws and is the pefect match for Paul. This sixth book does not disappoint in anyway shape or form. S.E. Smith has kept the story crisp and flowing. Best recommendation I can give read the series you won't be disappointed.

Each book I told friends about. Each book, each and every one of them has made me smile, cry, laugh out loud and look forward to Raffvin getting his ass kicked. The girls, fiesty, smart and ass kicking are the perfect matches for the Alpha males from Valdier. These boys learn that earth girls are very different from the females of their planet.

I truly look forward to more stories from Valdier. Some characters not of the Royal Family have mates to capture and convince they are worth the chance of leaving everything they knew for a lifetime of love, laughter and adventure. Hope to read stories of the Dragonlings to.....poor Trelon. Have to wonder...will he ever get to rest or will he forever be chasing after Cara and his daughters.
