Pleased to have discovered this author, and this is my second book of his to read. I found it interesting that he writes with female main characters, and carries it off well. I was further impressed with his ability of character development bring depth to both the story and the characters. I found his story entertaining and believable Science Fiction. I would rate his stories very near those by the story master, Andre Norton.I am looking forward to reading more of his work. Thanks Amazon for offering this story to me for such a reasonable price so I would succumb to the temptation to read his work.
Recommended for all science fictions buffs at all ages.

Goldeneyes R Bruce Sundrud 9781478185222 Books Reviews
This is a type of story that is both captivating and has a great moral. I enjoy books that inspire and make one think. I was very impressed as it wasnt at all what i expected. the story ran smoothly and kept me interested to the point i could hardly put it down to work. i hope to read more of the authors books! Keep them coming! P.J.
I found the story of Jia Hamilton to be engaging and well-paced. I was kept interested from the very beginning, and remained so throughout the story. As an older reader, I did feel that there was much more potential in the story than what was written. That said, I felt it was perfectly paced, and of appropriate depth, for a young adult reader.
A captivating story that is fast paced and touching. Your heartstrings are touched by a misfit youngster that overcomes obstacles. This is a well written and clever creation of an exciting world. The story also deals with lessons of tolerance for those that are different. This is a fun summer read.
Slow reading with some really crazy stuff. Not something I would read again. Survival with a twist I guess I'd call it. Imaginative writing though.
Awesome book!
My 11&13 year old sons read this book and told me it was awesome.
Can't wait to buy more of this author's work
This is the fifth Sundrud book I have read. It took me a while to get into this story. Not sure why, perhaps the jumping back and forth between past and present. Once I got into the story I enjoyed it an was glad I read it. Ending was a little different with her heroin ending up alone but she seemed happy so OK! Always a clean read.
What a fabulous story - I could not put it down. A coming-of-age story of an "almost human" girl - not your typical coming of age and not your typical sci-fi/fantasy. Sometimes touching, sometimes humorous, but always exciting and exotic. I also like that this is a self-contained novel, though I will certainly search out more books with this complex and believable heroine.
